How did flappers communicate with each other Are we talking a social network, but rather an art collective It was fascinating In his own words
The fact that these people think they’re artists is all part of their self-image. When they do, they’re just saying that their art is better than the art of everyone else. They’re thinking that they’re doing it for different purposes, so if it’s a good thing, it’s good. That they’re not making it up. Sometimes people use images which are not at all human, for social purposes. The most recent flapper artist is a man named Jack Blackmore (who also uses flappers on Twitter and Instagram).
Blackmore, who is famous for his self-deprecating posts on flapper.tumblr.com, went on Twitter to say something to his followers that was interesting about the artwork he’d just posted.
I have found myself reading articles, reading reviews, and trying to understand the relationship between the art and the identity of people, he wrote. The one thing that makes me curious is what’s happening to flappers on Instagram. How are they changing their lives How do they connect with each other What are their values How does the art they’re being associated with contribute to what we feel are the most important things about them
Blackmore isn’t the first flapper to post the hashtag FlapperLove on the Instagram, a popular trending topic on flapper.tumblr.com.
The other flappers, including some very vocal and high profile, users also reacted to Blackmore’s tweets with the hashtag FlankingLove.
In fact, a recent post on an Instagram, about the flapper, featured Flapper’s image of a man dressed provocatively in traditional, white trousers and a faux black shirt in front of him holding an oversized knife.
The post was viewed 1.6 million times and has since been retweeted many million times.
Flapper Love has made its way over the internet once again but this time it was more from an out-of-context view
As for my intention of calling out the artist in my video (that may help some), I’m a friend of yours and I hope you enjoy his work. Keep an eye out for more of his work. The Flapper Love team is very excited to find new projects we think make it to the light. Thank you for taking the
